About Ellen McCurdy
I am a down-to-earth person, a flawed individual, who has made plenty of mistakes and bad choices… and sure, I’ve had a few successes too.
I see my life as a magnificent journey and a compelling adventure, full of bumps, bruises, and extraordinary experiences. The rocky road is the one with all the treasures.
How can I help you?
My goal is to share with you the things I’ve learned that have helped me… things that I can teach you about subconscious programming… things that can guide you to releasing emotional trauma... things that can empower you to make better choices and create an optimal life for yourself... with triumph and grace.
There is always a way forward – in truth, that is the only direction open to us.
You are likely familiar with The Hero’s Journey from Joseph Campbell’s book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, where he discusses the human monomyth. There are several adaptations and explanations, and here is mine.
1. Ordinary World – where you are now
2. Call to Adventure – awareness of the need for change and the impulse to follow that call
3. Refusal of the Call – resistance to change, fear, doubt, worry, procrastination
4. Mentors and Guidance – gain knowledge, new perspectives, support
5. Crossing the Threshold – commitment to the journey – no turning back
6. Tests, Trials, Enemies – grapple with challenges, setbacks, obstacles, and adversaries that force you to change, adapt, and grow
7. Face Inner Demons – fall into the abyss and integrate your shadow side – prepare for transformation
8. Major Battle – death of the old self and rebirth of the transformed self
9. Reward – consequence of a successful battle – realization of a new life – result of determination and consistent work
10. Return – be the hero of your own life – take full responsibility – balance and clarity of the growth and transformation
If you are like me, then you know that life is a series of these quests… there is always another one ahead of us.
I would love to help you stand in your adult power and live your best life in this incredible and beautiful world, full of potential and opportunity, challenges and triumphs.
As a lifelong learner, I have also acquired a few coaching certifications, and that education will manifest in our work together:
And I can’t forget my little dog Cinder, my loyal companion. You may see her in some of the videos.
